Frau(en)* Macht Stimmen!- Abend mit Kunstpräsentation und Theaterworkshop

Die Kunst ist sozial und unmittelbar mit unserem alltäglichen Leben verbunden. An dem Abend stellen wir uns die Frage nach den Möglichkeiten, die feministische Perspektive in der aktuellen Popmusik-Kultur und Malerei sowie der theatralen Performance wahrzunehmen. In drei (buchstäblichen) Kunst-Räumen – Musik, Malerei, Theater – versuchen wir, sozialkritische Inhalte zu hören, zu sehen und sogar physisch zu spüren.

Den Abend eröffnen Beiträge über das Konzept der weiblichen Stimme in der zeitgenössischen Popkultur von Student*innen des Instituts für Musik- und Medienwissenschaft der Humboldt Universität zu Berlin. Dabei präsentieren sie die Ergebnisse ihrer eigenen Forschungsprozesse mit dem Ziel, das Problem des „Neuen Hörens und Feminismus“ in der Musik greifbar zu machen. Die kurz und kommunikativ gestalteten Vorträge (Deutsch, Englisch) widmen sich Künstlerinnen und Musikbands wie Aïsha Devi, der Performance-Künstlerin Mwangi Hutter, den Metallbands „Big Brave“ und „Kirmizi“ u.a. Die Präsentation wird mit zahlreichen Video- und Musikbeispielen begleitet und soll eine Anregung zur Diskussion mit den Gästen des Abends sein.

Später am Abend präsentieren zwei freie Künstlerinnen– Ksenia Mitasova (Hamburg) und Anastasia Kravchenko (Lüneburg) – eine Reihe von Bildern, die in Zusammenhang mit dem Thema des Abends entstanden sind. Dabei experimentieren die Künstlerinnen nicht nur mit unterschiedlichen Motiven – wie die Frau und ihre Welt oder die Innerlichkeit der Frauen – sondern auch mit verschiedenen künstlerischen Techniken (Aquarell, Akryl, Stift). Als Inspiration für ihre Malerei nutzen die Künstlerinnen die Musik aus aller Welt, was auch in den Sujets der Bilder zu sehen ist. Denn diese möchten zeigen, wie einzigartig und unbegrenzt die Frau und ihre „Stimme“ sein können.

Im dritten Kunst-Raum – Theater– gibt die Frauentheatergruppe „Las Kakalakes“ in ihrem Workshop einen Einblick in das „Theater der Unterdrückten“ und möchte dabei ihre Erfahrung als selbstorganisierte Theaterfrauengruppe mit anderen Frauen* teilen. Die Sammlung von Spielen und Übungen versucht, den Menschen Werkzeuge und Inspiration für eine aktive Rolle als Protagonist*innen und Handelnde ihres Lebens zu geben. Im Zentrum des Workshops steht die Idee, dass alle im Alltag bereits Theater machen: Man beobachtet Szenen des Lebens und stellt dabei verschiedene Rollen dar. Je nach Situation verhalten wir uns anders, weil wir verschiedene Positionen im Leben spielen. Und so erleben und beobachten wir viele Geschichten, die wir verändern könnten. In diesem Workshop werden „Las Kakalakes“ gemeinsam mit Gästen des Abends anhand Theaterübungen mit unserem Körper und Elemente des Alltags unsere Kreativität ausprobieren.

Woman* Raise Voice! – Evening with art presentation and theater workshop

Art is „social“ and is directly related to our everyday life. In the evening, we ask ourselves the question of the possibilities to perceive the feminist perspective in contemporary pop music culture, painting and theatrical performance. In three art spaces – music, fine art, theater – we try to hear, see and even feel with our body the socially critical content.

The evening will feature contributions on the concept of female voices in contemporary pop culture by students from the Humboldt University in Berlin, Institute for Music and Media Studies. They present the results of their own research processes in order to make the problem of „new hearing and feminism“ in music tangible. The brief and communicative lectures (German, English) include such artists and music bands as Aïsha Devi, performance artist Mwangi Hutter, metal band „Big Brave“ and „Kirmizi“ and others. The presentation will be accompanied by numerous video and music examples and should be a stimulus for the discussion with the guests of the evening.

Later in the evening, two artists – Ksenia Mitasova (Hamburg) and Anastasia Kravchenko (Lüneburg)- present a series of pictures that have been created in connection with the theme of the evening. The artists not only experiment with different motifs, such as the woman and her world, the inwardness of women, but also with artistic techniques (watercolor, acrylic, pencil). The artists use the music from all over the world for the inspiration for their painting, which can also be seen in the subjects of the pictures. Because they want to show how unique and unlimited the woman and her „voice“ can be.

In the third art space – theater – the women’s theater group „Las Kakalakes“ presents in their workshop a concept of the Theatre of the Oppressed (TO) and they want to share their experience as a self-organized theater women’s group with other women *. The method collection of games and exercises tries to give people tools and inspiration for an active role as protagonists and agents of their lives. At the center of the workshop is an idea that everyone is already doing theater in their everyday life: they observe scenes of life and play different roles. Depending on the situation, we behave differently because we play different positions in life. And so we experience and observe many stories that we could change. In this workshop „Las Kakalakes“ together with guests of the evening will try out our creativity with theater exercises with our body and elements of everyday life.

Mujer(es) * ¡Levanta la voz! – Noche de presentación de arte y taller de teatro

El arte es „social“ y está directamente relacionado con nuestra vida cotidiana. Por la noche, nos planteamos la cuestión sobre las posibilidades de percibir la perspectiva feminista en la cultura de la música pop contemporánea, la pintura y la representación teatral. En tres espacios del arte – música, pintura, teatro – intentamos escuchar, ver e incluso sentir con nuestro cuerpo el contenido social-crítico.

Ésta velada contará con las contribuciones de estudiantes de la Universidad Humboldt de Berlín, Instituto de Estudios de Música y Medios, quienes expondrán el concepto de voces femeninas en la cultura pop contemporánea. Se presentarán los resultados de sus propios procesos de investigación con el objetivo de hacer accesible el problema de „nueva audición y feminismo“ en la música. Las presentaciones breves y comunicativas (alemán, inglés) incluyen artistas y bandas de música como Aïsha Devi, la artista de performance Mwangi Hutter, la banda de metal „Big Brave“ y „Kirmizi“ entre otras. La presentación irá acompañada de numerosos ejemplos de videos y música los cuales deberán servir de estímulo para la discusión con los invitados de la noche.

Más tarde, dos artistas, Ksenia Mitasova (Hamburg) y Anastasia Kravchenko (Lüneburg), presentarán una serie de imágenes creadas en relación con el tema de la noche. Las artistas no solo experimentan con diferentes motivos, como la mujer y su mundo, la interioridad de la mujer, sino también con diferentes técnicas artísticas (acuarela, acrílico, lápiz). Como inspiración para su pintura, las artistas utilizan música proveniente de todo el mundo lo que también se puede ver en los temas de las imágenes. De ésta forma se quiere mostrar cuán única e ilimitada pueden ser la mujer y su „voz“.

En el tercer espacio de arte – teatro – el grupo de teatro de mujeres „Las Kakalakes“ presenta en su taller un concepto del “Teatro del Oprimido” (TO) y quieren compartir su experiencia como un grupo de mujeres de teatro autoorganizado con otras mujeres*. El método de recopilación de juegos y ejercicios trata de proporcionar a las personas herramientas e inspiración para un papel activo como protagonistas y agentes de sus vidas. Como punto central del taller está la idea de que todos ya están haciendo teatro en su vida cotidiana: se observan escenas de la vida y se desempeñan diferentes roles. Dependiendo de la situación, nos comportamos de manera diferente porque jugamos diferentes posiciones en la vida. Y así experimentamos/observamos muchas historias que podríamos cambiar. En este taller, „Las Kakalakes“, junto con los invitados de la noche, probarán nuestra creatividad por medio de ejercicios de teatro con nuestro cuerpo y elementos de la vida cotidiana.
